Daniel Mines, MD, MSCE, has worked for Merck Research Laboratories since 2013 as a pharmacoepidemiologist in its Center for Observational and Real-world Evidence. At Merck he directs a group responsible for evaluating questions of drug safety, natural history of disease, and clinical measurement for respiratory and immune-mediated disorders. Prior to that Dan was the Chief Scientific Officer for Epidemiology at HealthCore, the research analytics subsidiary of Anthem. From 1999 to 2010 Dan worked in Wyeth’s epidemiology group across a variety of therapeutic areas.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dan earned his medical and epidemiology degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently is an Adjunct Scholar in the University's Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a member of the editorial board for Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety.
