Dr. Maradit Kremers is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She received her medical degree from Istanbul University, Turkey, and a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom.
She has spent 8 years as an epidemiologist within the Roche safety organization. She joined the Mayo Clinic in 2000 and her research focusses on the epidemiology and outcomes of musculoskeletal diseases and musculoskeletal procedures, in particular hip and knee replacements and orthopedic devices. She mainly uses clinical information collected during routine medical care, such as the resources of the Mayo Clinic Total Joint Registry, Rochester Epidemiology Project and national arthroplasty registries. She also teaches and mentors in pharmacoepidemiology at the Mayo Clinic.
